Eggs from the happiest hens around. Raised on pasture and moved regularly, giving them a fresh salad bar of grass, bugs and everything else that chickens love. They are also fed a special formulated feed containing essential minerals and vitamins for the health of the chickens. There is no corn or soy products in the feed. It starts and ends with our hens - raised free-range, natural feed, no antibiotics, no corn or soy, or GMO grains.
We love our RV hens - turns out that an RV provides safety, ventilation and a great way to house our free-range hens when they're done pecking and foraging for nature's feed. Our dog, Chief, protects them from predators.
And they still have full beaks! The standard protocol in the commercial chicken houses is to cut the tip of the beak off. We leave them full, just as they are intended to be.
Our chickens also work for us! After the cows moved across the pasture, we bring the chickens in a few days later to eat the bugs and fly larvae that are in the cow droppings. This keeps the fly population down and helps to control parasites that the conventional dairy has to use strong dewormer for. Isn't that cool?
