One of the best things about working on my family’s farm is Family. My dad, like me, started working the farm when he was a boy. Now that he’s retired from main farm operation, he still loves being around the animals and thrives doing his daily chores. Would you like to spend your retirement collecting about 250 eggs a day? My dad loves it, and my brothers and I love his help.

Did you know that hens like to lay their egg in the same nest box that they share with a few other hens? Now that’s sociability! Makes the eggs easier to collect too.

Check out the photo of our converted RV hen house that supplies fresh well water and containers of fresh grain (non GMO and soy and corn-free) to supplement what they forage for outside. It’s a great way to repurpose an old RV while giving the hens a safe place to spend the night and lay their high-protein egg, while their day is spent outside enjoying their bugs, grubs, worms, and fresh grass. Our dogs Chief and Shanna do a great job of keeping the hens safe.
