We Clabber, They Spoil

Every now and then, I’ll get this question: how long does raw milk last? Simple enough question, and I have a simple answer. Raw milk lasts, in all its forms, until you’ve finished it! This is possible because of the difference between to aging terms: clabber (raw milk) and spoil (pasteurized milk).
Our clean, state regulated, raw milk has nutritious, good bacteria that changes from when you begin to drink it to when it clabbers or sours after 10 - 14 days in your fridge. That bacteria remains good and needed for your family's strong bones and teeth. Long ago, they understood that sour milk could be made into yogurt, cheese and more. Pasteurized milk spoils because good bacteria has been killed due to heating - that horrible smell is unhealthy bacteria overcoming the milk reminding you to throw it out. That bad bacteria can lead to food poisoning. Not so with our milk. Some of our customers, who like milk with a tang, leave their milk out to clabber first before drinking it! (We don’t suggest this : )
When you buy our milk, it’s as fresh as can be and is bottled within days of milking. As it naturally sours, you can use raw milk:
*as a starter for bread or pizza dough
*to make homemade ricotta just by heating it and adding salt
*turn it into your favorite creamy salad dressing
*give your pets a treat!
Tossing out raw milk is tossing out opportunity : }
