One pound blocks of golden butter

Yes, I love Spring! Fresh breezes, flowers waving, warm sun rays, soft hues of color as the sun rises. Everything is coming alive again and the fresh green grass packs our milk with wonderful nutrition. Nutritious milk means yellow blocks of butter, glistening like gold. My farmer’s breakfast of eggs and bacon with our butter slathered on warm toast - it doesn't get better!

Spring milk is so special. Its color changes to a deep golden hue as the beta-carotene loaded spring grass does its wonder. CLAs, omega 3s, chlorophyll, and fat soluble vitamins A,D,E, and K are all naturally included. This is the time of year when raw dairy enthusiasts stock up on raw butter which preserves live enzymes and probiotic bacteria, (like Butyrate, a fatty acid that feeds our gut cell’s lining) that support gut health and digestion, immune function, bone health, and anti-inflammatory and metabolic benefits - ALL from that perfect milk beginning from our 100% grass-fed, A2A2 cows!

Have you ever seen how butter is made? Click here.

It's Back to Basics, Real Food at Farmstead Acres. We've moved so far to convenience and having easily spreadable but no nutritional content margarine, that we've forgotten how good fresh, made-from-milk butter tastes and satisfies. Yes, fresh butter made from A2A2 Jersey cows is more expensive - it takes three gallons of milk to make a pound of butter! For those with lactose intolerance, those lucky enough to have a healthy budget or for special occasions, like holidays and guests, it is DEFINITELY worth it.
